A rug shaped as much by limitation as by choice using a reverse design process, to tackle leftover quantities of tufting wool in varied colors. What began with an ombre, gathered together with yarns that suggested their own order, progressed to take its own shape.
The final 6x9’ frame was directly sketched onto with a numbered composition that accommodated the color palette, tufted in a variety of loops and cuts translated into a structured yet fluid surface of stone waters.
